A team of officers of South-Western Range, Crime Branch led by Inspector Sandeep Malhotra and consisting of SIs Rajbir Singh, Naresh Sangwan, Pramod Kumar, HCs Sanjay Tyagi, Neeraj Pandey, Sandeep Kumar, Pawan Kumar and Consts. Rajeev Sahrawat, Sandeep Nara and Naresh Kumar under the
supervision of ACP Hoshiyar Singh and overall supervision of Shri D.K. Gupta,
DCP/Crime Branch, Delhi in a joint operation with Jharkhand Police led by Shri
Anuranjan Kispotta, Addl. SP, CID, Ranchi under the supervision Shri Manoj
Kaushik, SSP, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand have arrested an Ex-Minister and sitting
MLA of Jharkhand assembly Yogendra Saw (aged 50 years) s/o Shri Laxman saw r/o
Village Pehra, PS Keredari, District Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. He was wanted in a
case of Arms Act and facilitating commission of crime vide case FIR No. 48/14
dated 01.09.2014 u/s 25(1B)A/26/35 Arms Act and 118/119/120/120-B IPC PS Giddi,
Hazaribagh, Jharkhand and Non Bailable Warrants were issued against him by the
Hazaribagh court. Yogendra Saw is previously involved in around 13 cases of
murder, attempt to murder, rioting, criminal intimidation and extortion etc. in
Jharkhand. He is also founder member of two criminal organizations in Jharkhand
namely Jharkhand Tiger Group and Jharkhand Bachao Andolan. The members of these
organizations are involved in murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping for ransom,
criminal intimidation and extortion etc. in Jharkhand. On 23.09.2014, the above mentioned case was transferred
to CID, On 01.09.2014, 5 members of Jharkhand Tigers Group were
arrested by PS Giddi, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand police vide case FIR No. 48/14
dated 01.09.2014 u/s 25(1B)A/26/35 Arms Act and 118/119/120/120-B IPC including
the head of organization Raj @ Raj kumar Saw @ Vijay r/o District Hazaribagh,
Jharkhand regarding illegal possession of firearms and criminal conspiracy to facilitate
the commission of crime. Huge cache of arms & ammunition and other
incriminating material were recovered from their possession. It was found that
they belonged to Jharkhand Tiger Group and during interrogation they revealed
that Yogendra Saw was providing arms, ammunition & vehicles to commit
extortion, kidnapping for ransom and murder etc. They further revealed
Jharkhand Tiger Group and Jharkhand Bachao Andolan were formed by Yogendra Saw.
Till now around 11 members of these organizations have been arrested who are
involved in several heinous cases of arms act, extortion, kidnapping for ransom
and murder etc. in Jharkhand. Yogendra saw was an ex-minister in Jharkhand &
presently he is sitting MLA from Barkagaon constituency of Jharkhand Assembly.
Honble court of Hazaribagh had issued Non-bailable Warrants against him. He
has been taken on transit remand by Jhakhand Police. |
